Ana graduated at the University of Otago School of Dentistry. Her passion and enthusiasm for dentistry drive her to provide dentistry of the highest quality. Her twenty-six years of experience in the field of dentistry allow her to manage challenging clinical cases with an ease. Her wealth of knowledge and experience gained as a part of the Maxillo-Facial Surgery team in Dunedin Hospital has equipped her with exceptional clinical skills in oral surgical procedures such as difficult extractions and management of oral pathology. She has also been involved in research projects at the Dental School in Dunedin as well as teaching Clinical Dentistry to final year Dentistry students.
Ana has completed her Master Affiliate Diploma in Braces Treatment at the Fastbraces University in Dallas, USA. She has also completed advanced training in Invisalign and Clear Aligners. Ana also has additional training in Botox and Dermal Fillers from Harley Street Cosmetic Surgery Training Centre in London. She has done advanced training in Implants restorations and Cosmetic Dentistry. Ana is highly committed to continuing education. She is the founder of a Professional Education Centre in Dentistry with the purpose to continue the educating and the support of her clinical team and provide the best possible care for her patients. She encourages patients through education and preventive strategies to have a positive, proactive approach to their oral health, facilitating minimal dental intervention for the long term. Her gentle manner and caring personality help her patients relax and alleviate their anxiety. She is warm, caring and dedicated to creating a comfortable environment that puts her patients at ease. Outside of dentistry, Ana enjoys spending time with her family and loves the outdoors and nature. |
Dr Karan Suri

Karan is happy to join the excellent team at Swanson Dental to continue to provide a great dental service to all our patients. He has practiced dentistry for the last 35 years in New Zealand, England, Scotland and Wales. He grew up in Tauranga, attended Tauranga Boys College and then graduated from Otago Dental School in 1989. Whilst he was in England he was admitted to the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in London University and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Conservative Dentistry in 1993. His special interest is in restorative dentistry to enable our patients to keep their teeth as long as possible so that they can eat and taste their food satisfactorily thereby maintaining their general health and prolonging their life. In his spare time Karan enjoys spending time with his family, reading, cricket, golf and skiing.

Elena is our Dental Hygienist. She is a 2004 University of Otago School of Dentistry graduate. Her profound experience allows her to offer an all-around comprehensive periodontal care catered for each patient's individual needs. Although her treatment approach is prevention focussed, she undertakes challenging treatment with great confidence.
She likes to keep herself well informed with the latest advancements in modern dentistry and is always discovering new ways to improve her patients' oral heath care. Elena is very gentle, bubbly and engaging, and our patients love her. She is a proud mum of three very accomplished children and loves spending time with her family and two beautiful Border Collies. |

Yamuna is highly passionate about helping people achieve a better standard of oral health. She strives to keep her skills and knowledge up to date and provide a high level of professional dental services within her scopes of practice.
Yamuna has an abundant experience in clinical oral health therapy. She has a great ability to develop a good rapport with both adults and children as well as work with people who have behavioural challenges and dental phobias. When she is not busy brightening her patients’ smiles, Yamuna enjoys spending time with family and friends, lots of outdoor activities, hiking and swimming especially. |
